In " Peter's Progress", Madame Claude gives Peter a palm reading and says that one of his great ancestors, Griffin Peterson was the actual founder of Quahog. He later died of a combination of tuberculosis and a tomahawk to the head. Since then, he never spoke again and remained on the beach, hoping the magic clam would one day return. A clam saved him from drowning and brought him to Rhode Island, where they built the little civilization of Quahog together. On his voyage to America, he was thrown overboard by his crew for talking about what he would do when he got to the new world. It is as follows: Miles had the bad habit of talking nonstop. In " 15 Minutes of Shame", the story of Miles Chatterbox Musket was retold by Mayor Adam West. Miles Musket made his main appearance in " 15 Minutes of Shame", though he has been lightly referenced and acknowledged in various future episodes. He later came down with tuberculosis and was ultimately murdered by a Native American, who threw a tomahawk at his head and killed him on the date of December 3rd, 1633, when he was 65 years old. During his life, he constructed the town of Quahog, he befriended a Magic Clam that had the ability to speak, he married a woman named Jane Musket, and he and Jane had a son named Timmy Musket, who only lived to be five.
He also pushed the Narragansett Indian Tribe off of their sacred land in order to make room for his new city. He came from England to Rhode Island and established Quahog in the year 1620, when he was 33 years old. Miles Chatterbox Musket (November 21st, 1568 - December 3rd, 1633) is the founder of Quahog.
